We went to sign the lease, they lied to us about the one bedroom we were supposed to get and then stuck us in a studio. The cleaning fee we pay every month is charged and yet tho have the place cleaned and it wasnt even cleaned before we moved in. The sink was clogged with someone's hair and a toothpaste cap. The floor hasn't been mopped ever, and the bathroom floor is cracking as well as the caulking for the shower. There's no fan in the bathroom and the fridge is on its last legs. We also have to deal with loud people late at night and stomping up and down the stairs, people slamming doors & weed and cigarette smoke wafting into our place. There's NO cabinet space for anything more than dishes. NO cabinets for the bathroom, save for a tiny no-nothing, above the toilet. All in all, ok for just a weekend visit. Nothing more. The blonde older lady is quite rude as well.
We originally booked 109. When we arrived, it was dirty. Dingy, dark room. Refrigerator was not "large" and has rust on it. Bed was not comfy at all and just a sheet over the mattress. AC has a note not to turn past 74, which at the beach, is certainly not cool enough. And it is a noisy wall unit. I knew this place wasn't a 5 star hotel, but for the money, it is a rip off. This particular room could be rented for a whole lot less in a different setting. Even at the beach, it should not go for more than $75. If the owner would spend a little money on updates, it would definitely improve. Thank goodness we were able to move to another unit. The 2nd unit was pretty nice for a short stay. The sloane staff were nice and apologetic.
Absolutely awesome we had c100 it was an awesome split level with 2 beds living room dining room and kitchen. nice clean cozy! Would stay here again and recommend to anyone wanting a nice affordable private experience in Sunset Beach
No staff on site to deal with issues, after hours support is non existent. I had access issues to my room the last 2 visits. I will continue to go here but my expectations are lowered.
We loved this place so much we bought a unit and remodeled it entirely.. The locations is amazing and it is a perfect beach for families!! Unit 202 now features quartz counter tops, memory foam king size bed, brand new bathroom, and all new furniture. If you want a great place to stay that is away from the hustle and bustle of the crowds, then Sunset Beach is the place for you.
